Martin Gibbs succeeds Nis Hatt

Change of management at SportAccord. Nis Hatt, the general manager for ten years, is leaving. Martin Gibbs (pictured above) arrives. This former chief of staff, then director general, of the International Cycling Union (UCI) was appointed interim director general. A lawyer by training, advisor to several international organizations and bodies on issues of governance and ethics, Martin Gibbs has dual British and French nationality. His arrival at the head of SportAccord comes at a time when the organization enters “ in a phase of change and opportunity", in the words of its president, the Italian Ivo Ferriani, also president of GAISF, of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF), and member of the IOC Executive Board. Among the priorities of the new director general, the organization of the next Forum of International Federations, scheduled for November 28 and 29 in Lausanne.
