86% of the permanent Olympic venues are still in use

Between Athens 1896 and Beijing 2022, 982 permanent sites were used during the Olympic Games. According a study shared by the IOC, 86% of them are still activeThe 33 permanent venues from Tokyo 2020 and the 16 permanent venues from Beijing 2022 continue to be used today for events aimed at local communities and elite athletes, whether they aresports, cultural or recreational activities.
