A page is turning in Australia. The Sydney 2000 Olympic Stadium (pictured below), located in Homebush, will soon be demolished and rebuilt. The same destiny is promised to the Sydney football stadium. The decision was made this week by the New South Wales state government. Announced cost of the work: 2 billion Australian dollars, or approximately 1,3 billion euros. The demolition of the Sydney football stadium is planned for 2018. The Olympic stadium will follow in 2019. In its new configuration, the 2000 Games venue will be able to accommodate between 75 and 80.000 spectators.
