The Olympic Museum's collection is expanding. It currently boasts 90.000 objects and has received an additional 300 pieces from the Paris 2024 Games. These include: the official medals, decorated with a piece of the Eiffel Tower, as well as the equipment of Julien Alfred, Saint Lucia's first Olympic champion in the 100m, the swimsuit of French swimmer Léon Marchand, the racket of Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic or the wrestling shoes of Cuban Mijaín López.
The costumes for the opening and closing ceremonies – including the Golden Voyager and the pianist's outfit suspended above the Stade de France, both created by Swiss designer Kevin Germanier – are also highlighted to highlight how Paris 2024 has managed to combine sport, art, history and performance.
