Nearly three-quarters (72%, or +13%) say they personally experience these effects. The general feeling is summarized as follows: Yes, climate change has directly affected me. As a winter sports athlete, I observe warmer winters, less stable snow, and shorter ski seasonsThis affects my training and my competitions. »

Many biathletes say concerned about the future of winter sportsand a growing number of them say they are extremely worried (28%; +3%). Climate change has made skiing on natural snow less common. The athletes suggest several solutions, including one optimization of scheduling and logistics in order to reduce travel, by decreasing flights and improving shared transportation options. They expressed a desire to see practical improvements on the sites (more sustainable food, packaging reduction…).
