The veil has been lifted on the host countries of the Women's EuroBasket in 2027. The international federation (FIBA) announced that it has awarded the continental tournament to four nations, Lithuania, Finland, Belgium and Sweden. The competition will take place from June 16 to 27. With this formula, FIBA is reproducing the format of the 2025 edition, the first to be hosted by four countries, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Greece, with a final phase in Athens. In 2027, the preliminary rounds will be played in Antwerp for the Belgian side, Stockholm, Vilnius, and Espoo for the Finnish side. The final phase will be played in its entirety in Vilnius, Lithuania. Finland and Lithuania had already been officially announced last year by FIBA as hosts of the Women's EuroBasket in 2027. The body added two other co-organizers, Belgium and Sweden, on Thursday, November 28.
