Seventy-four countries at the BRICS Games

With just over two months to go, the 2024 BRICS Games in Kazan, Russia (June 12-23) are beginning to take shape. According to a senior official of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, athletes from 74 countries are expected to participate in the competitions. Among them, representatives of the ten BRICS member states, including the five founders (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). In total, more than 4.700 people have already registered, including athletes, officials and team management members. The opening ceremony will take place on June 12, a date which coincides with Russia Day. It will be held at the Universiade Village in Kazan, where the delegations will be accommodated.
