WADA Call for Nominations for Standing Committee Chairs

Communiqué

Montreal, March 11, 2025

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is calling for nominations for 2026 to fill the chair positions of its three standing committees, which report to the Executive Committee and Foundation Board of the WADA. Standing committees act as advisory committees, providing expert advice to the WADA. They support the WADA's mission by serving as a forum for detailed and expert deliberations on specific families of issues and by developing recommendations for decisions by the Executive Committee or the Foundation Board, as appropriate.

The terms of office of the current Standing Committee Chairs end on December 31, 2025. This public call for nominations applies to the following three committees:

  1. Education Committee
  2. Finance and Administration Committee
  3. Health, Medicine and Research Committee

As indicated in the WADA Governance Rules (Part VI), candidates will be assessed, examined and validated by the WADA Nominations Committee in accordance with its procedures. Only candidates who meet the selection criteria determined by the Nominating Committee may be recommended for the position of chair of a standing committee. The Nominating Committee will present its recommendations to the Executive Committee, which will make a decision at its meeting on September 11, 2025. The selected candidates will take office on January 1, 2026, and their three-year term will end on December 31, 2028.
