FIFA launches digital platform listing association changes

Communiqué

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote transparency and bring clarity to international football, FIFA has launched a digital platform which publicly displays all association changes approved by its Football Tribunal.

This platform aims to be a valuable resource for the global football community, providing detailed information on players whose request for a change of association has been approved by the Players' Status Chamber of the FIFA Football Tribunal.

A change of association allows a footballer to change his or her “sporting nationality” and represent a new member association in international competitions. The new platform presents a complete list of players who have applied for and obtained – in compliance with the requirements established in this regard by the Regulations for the application of the FIFA Statutes – a change of association, which allows them to represent the representative teams of their new association.

The launch of this platform reflects FIFA's commitment to strengthening transparency in football governance and provides clarity on the eligibility of players involved in a change of association process. While their application is under review (i.e. until a decision is made), a player is not permitted to represent any representative team. Furthermore, no decision is published until it is final and binding.

This new digital tool will be an essential reference for member associations, confederations, clubs, players and agents, ensuring that all stakeholders remain duly informed and encouraging compliance with FIFA regulations.

The platform will be regularly updated to include the latest information on players who have received authorization to change associations.

It is publicly accessible via legal.fifa.com.
