— Published on November 27, 2025

The finish line is in sight. On December 31st, the team at the Olympic Works Delivery Company (SOLIDEO) will officially hand over the reins. Its 34th board meeting, held at Paris City Hall, provided an opportunity to review eight years of work and assess the progress of the redevelopment of the Paris 2024 Games venues. The public body has fulfilled its mission, as 95% of the Olympic venues are now open to the public, in line with projections.

All of the year's objectives achieved

2025 was a busy year. During the first quarter, the first residents moved into the media village in Dugny, with a capacity of 1.500 homes, while PRISME in Bobigny, Europe's first fully inclusive multi-sports facility, opened on February 1st. Other projects inaugurated included the Pablo Neruda sports complex in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, the Colombes swimming pool, the Henri Deglane fire station in Saint-Denis, and the Terrain des Essences sports complex in La Courneuve.

Now, the public can also enjoy the Elancourt Hill and its 10 kilometers of mountain bike trailsbut also the Olympic Aquatic Centre in Saint-Denis (pictured), opposite the Stade de France. The facility is already open to the general public, while awaiting the return of athletes for the European Swimming Championships next August. This year demonstrates, once again, that SOLIDEO is meeting its objectives: we have delivered all the structures we were tasked with converting, and we have passed on our methods and expertise. " underlines Yann Krysinski, Executive Director of SOLIDEO.

A restitution of 126 million euros

Work is still underway, or planned, until 2028 to complete all the planned facilities. In the Athletes' Village, the Olympic Square and the Saint-Ouen nursery will be completed in 2026. The Saint-Denis school complex and a student residence will follow later. In the Media Village, work will focus on the construction of housing and the completion of public spaces. The Board of Directors also announced a larger-than-expected return of public funding: while the initial budget approved in December 2023 was €1,721 billion, it was ultimately reduced to €1,595 billion, representing a return of €126 million. This demonstrates a commitment to sound financial management and budgetary discipline.

During the board meeting, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, praised " the unwavering commitment of all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games ", with " special attention to the women and men of SOLIDEO According to Yann Krysinski, This Board meeting marks the end of an adventure. Certainly a unique professional adventure, but above all an incredible human one.. » Solideo will disappear for good with the arrival of the new year, leaving the public establishment Grand Paris Aménagement to take over and ensure the delivery of the remaining 5% of Olympic works.
