The case has been dragging on for weeks, so the OCOG is no longer three days away. Expected this Monday, the appointment of Cyril Linette as general director of the OCOG of the French Alps 2030 is still not official. "For formal reasons, today we're talking about Solideo. But don't worry, in three days there's a board meeting and things will be clarified", justified Edgar Grospiron. On the side of the Olympic Works Delivery Company (Solideo), at least, things are moving forward.
Olympic villages already on the table
The headquarters of this Solideo version 2030 was inaugurated in Marseille, in the presence of all the stakeholders of the Games. The body has already found its way: Damien Robert will be at the forefront as Executive Director General and the structure will be chaired alternately by Renaud Muselier and Fabrice Pannekoucke, the presidents of the regions. The Minister of Sports, Marie Barsacq, set the course: it is about " building on time ", in less than five years, building " responsibly " and " building useful ", including accessibility standards. "Around thirty works have been identified to date, contextualizes Damien Robert. 90% of the equipment that will be used for the Games already exists; it needs to be renovated. »
The Solideo board of directors has " already validated the launch of four emblematic projects" said the executive director, including the Olympic Village in Nice and the one in Briançon, located at the Fort des Trois Têtes, a listed historic monument. Also mentioned was the brand new ice rink in Nice, " the only new equipment in the application ", which will be built next to the Allianz Riviera, as well as the rehabilitation of the La Plagne bobsleigh track, which will need to be renovated "in depth", both on the track and to “make its environment more welcoming for spectators, athletes and the press”. With the challenge of also making the site “more energy-efficient”. There is therefore plenty to do, while waiting for the validation of the site map in June to " stabilize a list of works to be built or renovated ».
For the French Alps 2030, there is only one watchword: build for the long term, for our territories!

"We are operational"
Edgar Grospiron sees the glass as half full: "It's another piece of the puzzle that has been put together today. It's even a pillar of our project." Renaud Muselier has a similar story: "We are ready to go, determined, and organized. We can accelerate and we are operational in the face of a tight schedule." Operational, despite an OCOG without a general director. The president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region wanted to reassure: the suspense is no longer current and the appointment of Cyril Linette is now "an open secret" in his words, which finally augurs a solution to this interminable case on Thursday.
Asked by The Dauphine, Edgar Grospiron repeated his conviction that Linette was the right man in recent days. "What stands out from his career is that he is a reformer, someone who seeks to create valuehe insists. We share the same vision. A typically entrepreneurial approach." The president of COJOP says he is " confident " taking into account the pledges presented. "Our statutes provide for voting and a majority decision just in case. But on a decision like this, it's better to find a consensus." And that takes time.
