Club Games (episode 5): Slovenian House

Events Focus

Proof of the attractiveness of Paris and the 2024 Games: Slovenia not only sent a delegation of athletes to the French capital. Its national Olympic committee also offered itself a hospitality space. The Slovenian House, housed in the Parc des Nations, where around fifteen official clubs and houses coexist, is not the most visible. But it displays the colors of the country during the Olympic Games.

The Memorial

Slovenia also chose the Parc des Nations in La Villette. It has taken over a bar, 211, where it also occupies the outdoor terrace.

The decor

Reduced dimensions and, curiously, minimalist decoration suggesting that the space is Slovenian during the Games. On the terrace, several tables invite you to eat. A giant screen allows you to follow the events. Three stands offer activities, including a tattoo session. The interior space is only accessible by invitation.

The price

Free entry. The tray of fries costs 5 euros, a 4 cheese panini 8,50 euros and a cookie 4 euros. Beer is 4,50 euros (25 cl) and 9 euros (50 cl).

The atmosphere

Relaxed and family-friendly. Visitors come to relax and have a bite to eat, while the children enjoy the activities.

The public

Family-friendly and cosmopolitan. The Slovenian supporters, quite discreet, did not really take possession of the place.

Why you have to go there

To eat a panini with fries. And because it would be a shame to visit the Park of Nations without a detour to the Slovenian House.

Why is it not essential

The Slovenes thought small. Their house struggles to stand out, failing to give it a Slovenian touch and spirit. Like almost everywhere else, the giant screens only broadcast competitions in which the country's athletes take part.
