World Rowing is making inroads in Japan. World Rowing has announced a cooperation agreement with the Japan Sport Council to jointly develop a research project on indoor rowing and virtual sport. The agreement is intended to be wide-ranging, with an academic component (studies and research, publication of articles and documents, etc.) and a more practical dimension (exchanges and visits by representatives of both organizations, joint presentation of case studies at international conferences, seminars and workshops, etc.). As a reminder, rowing was on the program of the first edition of Olympic eSport Week, organized last June in Singapore at the initiative of the IOC.
