World Rowing is joining the movement. The international body announces that it has decided in turn, like a large part of the Olympic movement, to entrust the management of its anti-doping program to the International Testing Agency (ITA). According to the partnership agreement between the two parties, the ITA will be in charge of all in-competition and out-of-competition testing activities of World Rowing, including risk assessment, planning of testing distribution, as well as the management of the target group of rowers subject to controls and the location of the athletes. They will also be responsible for managing the athlete’s biological passport and therapeutic use permits for rowers. The ITA will develop and implement a long-term storage and reanalysis strategy for Word Rowing. The partnership also aims to strengthen doping prevention through the establishment of an educational program, in accordance with the international education standard of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
