The renunciations follow one another, including some major countries of the discipline (United States, Ireland, Canada…), but the International Boxing Federation (IBA) accelerates the pace in the preparation of the Women’s World Championships in New Delhi (March 15 to 26). After celebrating the date of D – 1 month before the opening, it unveiled on Thursday 16 February the visual identity of the tournament (photo above). According to the official release, it “reflects India’s growing reputation as a key destination for women’s boxing.” The competition will be held at the K.D. Jadhav Indoor Hall in New Delhi, a venue with a capacity of 6,000 people. Russian and Belarusian women boxers will be allowed to compete in their colours. The same rule will be applied next May for the Men’s World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, an event also boycotted by several strong amateur boxing nations.
