Very official visit to Russia

Initially scheduled for the end of next month in Ekaterinburg, but postponed six months due to the health crisis, the next edition of SportAccord (November 7 to 12, 2021) is shaping up to be a matter of state in Russia. As proof, the cast of the welcoming committee for the recent visit to the country of Raffaele Chiulli, the president of SportAccord, and Nis Hatt, the general manager. The two were received by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the SportAccord 2021 Organising Committee, Igor Levitin, Vladimir Putin’s advisor, and Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sports. According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, representatives from more than 50 countries have already registered for SportAccord 2021, including Argentina, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, France, Germany and Singapore. The health issue was discussed at length during the meeting. Russian officials said, among other things, that one of the options being considered to enhance security at the event was the provision of free vaccines to registered delegates.
