Unencrypted and across Europe

European Games

The Association of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Eurovision Sport, the sports arm of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), for exclusive coverage of the European Games in 2023 and 2027. It marks the EBU’s first participation in the multi-sport continental event. The agreement signed between the two parties is intended to ensure that the 2023 and 2027 European Games will be broadcast on the EBU’s public service broadcasters, thus providing unencrypted coverage throughout Europe. The next edition will take place in Kraków and the regions of Małopolska and Śląsk in Poland, from June 21st to July 2nd, 2023. It is expected to bring together 25 sports, including 16 Olympic sports for which the European Games will enter the qualification process for the Paris 2024 Games. The next edition, in 2027, has not yet been awarded by the EOC.
