A sign. With the Paris 2024 Games less than a year away (D-336), a Ukrainian delegation has travelled to France to find a centre to prepare for the Games. The delegation visited the CREPS Ile-de-France in Châtenay-Malabry on Friday 25 August (photo above). In a press release, the management of the Ile-de-France facility stated that the delegation consisted of the deputy sports minister, Ms Panchenko, the head of the international relations department, Ms Radchuk, and the head of the sports department at the National Olympic Committee, Ivan Bondarchuk. “The purpose of this meeting is to enable the Ukrainian delegation to discover the state-of-the-art facilities at the CREPS and to explore opportunities for collaboration in the sports preparation of Ukrainian athletes for the Olympic and Paralympic Games“, explains the press release. Technical exchanges are also planned between Ukrainian representatives and CREPS experts. As a reminder, the Ukrainian Minister for Sport, Vadym Guttsait, recently ruled out the option of a boycott of the Paris 2024 Games, even in the event of the presence of individual Russian and Belarusian athletes under neutral status. Ukraine will indeed be present next year. All that remains now is to find a preparation centre for its athletes before they move to the Olympic Village.
