A great catch for the Aube department. According to the daily L’Est Eclair, the Aube departmental council has reached agreements with two countries to host their delegations before the Paris 2024 Games. Not the least of which are Japan and Brazil. The Japanese climbing team, one of the additional sports on the Olympic programme, will settle in Troyes for its final preparation for the Paris 2024 Games. It will be followed by the Brazilian Paralympic delegation. The city of Troyes, with a population of 61,000, is located in eastern France, two hours’ drive from Paris. In 2023, it will have an international multi-sports and climbing complex (CIME) on the Technopole de l’Aube en Champagne, a 5,000 m² facility presented as the largest fixed climbing site in France (photo above), coupled with a multi-sports area adapted to handisport.
