Thomas Bach will come twice

Thomas Bach does not like the boycott. He has explained this on many occasions. He repeated it again at the end of last week, on Europe 1, when asked about the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the calls for a boycott of the global event. “Our position is completely clear: major sporting events, and in particular the Olympic Games, are there to unite the world, not to divide it,” explained the IOC president. The German leader took the opportunity to announce that he would be going to Qatar for the World Cup (20 November to 18 December). “I will go there for the opening and for the final,” he said. Thomas Bach had already attended, in his capacity as IOC President, the World Cup final in 2014 in South Africa, then in 2018 in Russia.
