The world visits Paris

A crowd gathered last week at the Paris 2024 OCOG headquarters in Saint-Denis. The Paris organisers welcomed 48 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and 30 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) for the hosting days, less than two years before the event. A total of 146 delegates travelled to Seine-Saint-Denis, plus a further 200 who registered remotely. As the OCOG pointed out in a press release, these welcome days are joint for the NOCs and NOCs, a way of reinforcing Paris 2024’s commitment to “operate as one team“. On the programme for the three days: updates from the various Organising Committee teams, a tour of the venues, and a stopover at the athletes’ village (pictured above).
