The World Cup hit the screen

The 2022 Men’s World Volleyball Championship, which took place from 26 August to 11 September in Poland, was well covered by the media. According to figures published by the sport’s international body (FIVB), the final between Italy and Poland was watched by over 10 million people in the two finalist countries. In Italy, RAI 1 and Sky Sports recorded a peak of four million viewers, with a market share of 25%. In Poland, the combined audience for the semi-final against Brazil and the final against Italy reached 13.1 million viewers on TVP and Polsat. The 2022 World Cup was broadcast in 90 territories around the world. On social media, more than 40 million fans followed the competition on Volleyball World’s Facebook and Instagram accounts between 26 August and 12 September, with a total of over 1.5 million engagements.
