Like the French at the London Games in 2012, the Swiss delegation for the Paris 2024 Games will reach the capital by train. The Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Committees announce that they have signed a partnership agreement with Lyria, the leading commercial rail service offering TGV connections between Switzerland and France. The Franco-Swiss company becomes an official partner of Swiss Olympic. The collaboration begins this year. It will continue until 2024. The Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic delegations will travel to the competition venues by train, boarding TGV Lyria high-speed trains. Swiss Olympic CEO Roger Schnegg comments: “The high frequency of TGV Lyria trains enables us to plan the athletes’ journeys flexibly. The Swiss Olympic Team and the Swiss Paralympic Team will thus be able to travel to Paris without stress before the start of the Olympic and Paralympic competitions.“
