Emmanuel Macron announced Monday, July 25, after holding an Olympic Council at the Elysee: the state will buy 400,000 tickets for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. They will be distributed to young people and schoolchildren, primarily those under 16 years, but also to volunteers of the sports movement, people with disabilities, state and local government officials who contribute to the preparation of the event. This so-called “popular” ticketing will be intended to make the Paris 2024 Games accessible to a public that would not necessarily have the means to buy tickets for the competitions.
