The race is on

Three in one go. The International Electronic Sports Federation (IESF) has announced that it has officially launched its call for bids to organise the next three editions of its world championships. They are scheduled to take place between 2024 and 2026. The last edition of the world event, held late last year in Bali, Indonesia, brought together more than 600 athletes from 105 countries, the largest number of nationalities ever represented in an eSports tournament. The competition generated nearly 500 hours of streaming, viewed more than 34 million times on Twitch and YouTube, according to a report by the Nielsen Institute. The next IESF Worlds will take place this year in the Romanian city of Iași. Scheduled to take place from 24 August to 4 September, they are expected to bring together a record number of 120 countries.
