Be patient. The Beijing 2022 Winter Games Organising Committee has announced that the official film of the last Olympic and Paralympic Games will soon be released in China. Currently in the final stages of post-production, it is directed by Lu Chuan, with the collaboration of Chinese director Zhang Yimou as executive producer, and filmmaker Zhang Heping as consultant. More than 700 hours of footage were shot from the year 2020, in China but also in several other countries. The official international release of the film is planned for later this year. In addition, the authorities of the Yanqing region, where the Alpine skiing, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events took place, revealed that the Olympic area will be transformed into a vast outdoor sports centre within three years, dedicated to cycling, hiking and winter disciplines. Located 70 km from Beijing, the Yanqing district received more than 750,000 visitors during the last Chinese New Year holiday.
