The dialogue of deaf continues between the International Boxing Federation (IBA) and the IOC. The first announces in a communiqué “to ask urgently” to the second to withdraw the European Games 2023 in Poland of the course of qualification to the Games of Paris 2024. Reason invoked: the decision of the Polish authorities, and the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC), not to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the competitions. A ban that, insists the IBA, “seriously affects the chances of these athletes to qualify for the Paris 2024 Games.” The IBA asks the IOC that the European Games, scheduled from June 21 to July 2, 2023 in Krakow and the Małopolska region, are no longer qualifying for Paris 2024, and that they are even purely and simply canceled, as now contrary to the Olympic Charter by their discriminatory nature.
