World Cup qualified teams have won their case

New change of calendar in African soccer. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday 28 July the postponement of the qualifying matches for the next African Cup of Nations. Initially scheduled for September, they are postponed to March 2023. As a reminder, the CAN was to be held in June 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, but it has been shifted to January and February 2024. The postponement of the qualifications responds to a request from the five African countries qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (Cameroon, Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia), who wish to play in the autumn of preparatory games. In detail, the 3rd and 4th days of the CAN qualifications are rescheduled to March 2023, the next two will take place from 12 to 20 June, then from 4 to 12 September 2023.
