The general meeting in virtual mode

Predictable. Meeting for the first time this year, by videoconference, the council of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) has decided that its next assembly will be held remotely, in virtual mode. It will take place on June 8th, just weeks before the opening of the Tokyo Games. The board of ASOIF, which is chaired by the Italian Francesco Ricci Bitti, also agreed to propose to the general assembly modifications to its statutes, in order to move even closer to the balance between the sexes as representatives of international federations. The draft text specifies that a member federation that intends to send the maximum number of three delegates to the ASOIF general assembly will have to ensure that both sexes are represented.
