The figures speak volumes. With less than 300 days to go until the Paris 2024 Games, real estate network Lycaon Immo and daily newspaper Le Parisien have teamed up to launch a barometer of prices and supply for short-term rentals during the Olympic Games period. Unsurprisingly, the rates charged by owners are skyrocketing. In Paris, the average price per night is 990 euros, compared with 330 euros in October 2023. The increases recorded vary widely from one district to another, from +49% in the 16th arrondissement to +301% in the 3rd. The record is broken in the 8th arrondissement, where the average price for a night is 2,436 euros. At the other end of the scale, the 20th arrondissement proves more affordable, with an average of 592 euros per night. Finally, the barometer points out that the supply of rental accommodation is currently 11 times greater than normal.
