Teqball makes a grand entrance

Every week brings a new announcement for the 2023 European Games. The programme for the continental event is quickly growing. And it is proving to be surprisingly innovative. The Association of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) has just unveiled a new sport for the next edition, scheduled for 2023 in Kraków and the Polish region of Małopolska: teqball. A subtle blend of football and table tennis, this growing Hungarian invention, which is undergoing an exponential development, becomes the 16th official sport of the 2023 European Games. Teqball joins 3×3 basketball, archery, badminton, beach handball, boxing, canoeing, cycling, karate, modern pentathlon, muaythai, padel, shooting, sport climbing, taekwondo and triathlon. Other disciplines will be announced in the coming weeks. Like padel, whose presence on the programme was announced last week by the EOC, teqball has never been included before on the programme of an international multi-sport event.
