After the international federations, the sports ministers are now making common cause to sanction Russia and exclude it from the sports movement. More than twenty of them took part in a video conference organised by the British Secretary of State for Culture, Nadine Dorries. Among those present were sports ministers or representatives from the US, Australia, Japan, France, Canada, Switzerland and South Korea. IPC President Andrew Parsons from Brazil also attended the meeting by video conference. Among the measures announced was a ban on Russia hosting international sports competitions, as well as the exclusion of Russian athletes from all competitions on the international sports calendar. It was also decided by the 26 countries present to work together to ensure that private contracts signed by sports bodies and organisations with Russian partners linked to the Moscow regime are terminated or at least suspended.
