South Koreans will soon be vaccinated

The list of countries where athletes will soon be vaccinated against COVID-19 continues to grow. The South Korean government announced on Monday, April 26th, that the vaccination campaign for members of the Olympic delegation for the Tokyo Games would begin in the coming days. The first doses will be given to athletes before the end of April. The South Korean government has approved two types of vaccines so far. But, given the intervals needed between the first and second injection, and the Tokyo Games schedule, athletes and coaches will receive injections of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. South Korea thus joins a group of countries where the Olympians selected have priority for vaccination. With the exception of medical staff, vaccinations have not yet started for the youngest age groups.
