SOLIDEO filed a complaint

SOLIDEO (Société de livraison des ouvrages olympiques) is going on the offensive. According to AFP, it filed a complaint with the courts on Monday 20 June after the discovery, on 9 June, of the presence of a dozen illegal workers on one of the building sites associated with the athletes’ village of the Paris 2024 Games. The facts were revealed during a surprise inspection by the labour inspectorate. SOLIDEO explained through its director general, Nicolas Ferrand, that it had been made aware of this on 16 June. In addition to filing a complaint, the public institution also suspended the work and terminated the contract with a subcontractor. According to Nicolas Ferrand, this could lead to a delay of several weeks on the site. “But respect for the law is more important, he told AFP. And we will obviously make up for this delay“.
