Seychelles for an African first

A new exotic destination for the Beach Soccer World Cup. After Tahiti in 2013, the 13th edition of the FIFA-stamped tournament will be held in 2025 on the island of Mahé, in the Seychelles. The competition will be held from 1 to 11 May in Victoria, the archipelago’s capital. As hosts, Seychelles will be taking part in the finals for the first time, along with four European teams, three Asian teams, three South American teams, two African teams, two American teams and one team from Oceania. In 2025, the Beach Soccer World Cup will mark the 20th anniversary of the first edition. It will be the first on the African continent. Before that, the competition will stop off in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from 15 to 25 February 2024.
