Princess Anne visits the OCOG

Princess Anne

The Paris 2024 OCOG will have to keep a close eye on its protocol. According to Buckingham Palace, Princess Anne will visit the French capital at the beginning of October for a two-day visit (October 3-4th) with a very sporting theme. On her programme, she will meet the organisers of the Paris 2024 Games, but also those of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France. At 71, the British princess is one of the longest serving IOC members. She joined the IOC in 1988 and has chaired the Commission for the election of new members for the past six years. She is also the patron of the Scottish Rugby Union, which explains her visit to the 2023 World Cup Organising Committee.
