Monnaie de Paris is innovating. It announces the launch of a new collection of coins stamped Paris 2024. This time, they are illustrated by the Phryges, the mascot of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Four coins in silver or gold have been struck for this limited series, worth 10, 50, 250 and 500 euros respectively. The first series, the most affordable (10 euros), features the Phrygian caps practicing an Olympic or Paralympic sport (badminton, gymnastics, para-athletics, track cycling …). The second (50 euros) offers two colored silver coins, illustrated by a mascot holding a French flag for one, a planet for the other. Finally, the two most expensive coins in the collection (250 and 500 euros) are both in gold. There are 10,000 and 5,000 copies of each.
