Americans aren’t afraid of clichés. Proof of this is NBC’s latest promotional video for the Paris 2024 Games. It features former NFL star Peyton Manning disembarking in the French capital on the day of the opening ceremony aboard a baguette the size of a blimp. “Welcome to Paris, says the former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback in the promotional spot. Home of French bread, wine and, now, the Olympic Games.” Introduced on Thursday, September 7 during the TODAY show, the video premiered later that evening during the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions. Peyton Manning is the latest celebrity to promote NBCUniversal‘s coverage of the Paris 2024 Games, following Paris Hilton and Dolly Parton. The American group, which holds exclusive rights to the Olympic Games in the United States until 2032, has announced a whole series of new promotional videos for the coming autumn.
