Pattaya to host the World Stand Up Paddle Championships

The International Canoe and Kayak Federation (ICF) loves Thailand. Last year, the body organised its annual congress in Pattaya. It has now announced that it has awarded the next stand up paddle (SUP) world championships to the same Thai coastal city, located two hours drive from Bangkok. It will be held from 15 to 19 November 2023, after the end of the rainy season. In addition to the competition, the ICF plans to offer the public and athletes a festival of SUP, both on and off the water, with a series of events for amateur and recreational paddlers. The Pattaya Worlds will be the highlight of a season that will also feature six international competitions, plus a World Cup in Sarasota, Florida, where the Worlds are scheduled to take place in 2024 and 2026.
