The OCOG Paris 2024 has lifted a corner of the veil on the next edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Week (OPW), scheduled from April 3 to 8, 2023 in schools and universities in France. It promises to be a record year. Just over 500 days before the opening of the Paralympic Games (August 28 to September 8, 2024), it will be placed under the sign of inclusion. According to the latest figures collected by the OCOG, the goal of one million students should be reached, if not exceeded, with more than 7,000 schools participating in the operation. Last year, the SOP reached 750,000 students. The mobilization is also expected to be much more massive in the university world, with an expected doubling of the number of students and institutions. According to the Paris 2024 OCOG, no less than 95% of the projects identified to date for the 2023 edition of the SOP concern the theme of inclusion and the Paralympic Games.
