OCOG headquarters targeted by protesters

Bad timing. Around sixty CGT union activists occupied the COJO Paris 2024 headquarters, the Pulse building in Saint-Denis, mid-day on Tuesday June 6, on the sidelines of the national day of mobilization against pension reform. According to AFP, demonstrators invaded the building’s central hall, brandishing torches and a banner, chanting “No withdrawal, no Olympics“. The COJO confirmed the information, but specified that the intrusion of the militants had been brief and carried out without violence or degradation. The Seine-Saint-Denis prefecture indicated that the organizing committee intended to lodge a complaint for minor damage. The demonstration took place on the second day of the IOC Coordination Commission’s visit to Paris.
