No big show for Paris 2024

Paris 2024

The Paris 2024 OCOG wants to innovate for the clip that will be displayed during the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Games on Sunday, August 8th, at the Olympic Stadium. The Parisian organisers have decided not to offer a live show at the Japanese venue, contrary to tradition. A show will be organised during the ceremony, but it will take place in Paris, on the Place du Trocadero. The scene will be filmed and video broadcast on the giant screens of Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium. The action will therefore take place in the French capital. The rest of the sequence in Paris, which lasts about ten minutes, will be made in accordance with the protocol. Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo, will hand over the Olympic flag to Thomas Bach. The IOC President will then hand it over to Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris.
