NBCUniversal in full swing for the Paralympic Games

With one year to go before the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (August 28 to September 8), the American broadcasting group NBCUniversal has lifted a corner of the veil on its coverage of the event. It promises to be a record-breaking edition. As the exclusive rights holder for the United States, NBCUniversal plans to devote 1,500 hours of programming to the event, both on television and via streaming. On TV channels, the group is planning more than 140 hours, live or recorded, including nine hours on NBC (six hours live). Two other channels, USA Network and CNBC, will complete the coverage. Streaming coverage will be provided by the Peacock platform. It will offer around 1,500 hours of live coverage of the 22 Paralympic sports. At the Tokyo 2020 Games, coverage of the Paralympic event reached just over 1,000 hours, on the NBC Sports and Peacock digital platforms.
