The big maneuvers have begun for the NBCUniversal group, exclusive holder of the Games rights for the United States. A video promoting the “Save the Date” campaign, dedicated by the NBC channel to the Paris 2024 Games, was broadcast for the first time last week in the United States. It features Dolly Parton, the Minions and wrestling star Roman Reigns. It was presented during an episode of “Top Chef” World All-Stars, filmed in Paris, where American Olympic and Paralympic athletes were invited, including Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Suni Lee, Mallory Weggemann and Hunter Woodhall. NBC is also devoting part of its daily Today Show this week to the upcoming Summer Games. The show’s host, Savannah Guthrie, reports live from Paris. NBCUniversal broadcasts two events taking place this weekend in Paris: the Diamond League athletics meeting at the Stade Charléty, and the French Open semi-finals and finals.
