Mexico has won a major prize. The country will host the World Beach Volleyball Championships next year. The world event will take place in several Mexican cities in the second half of 2023. The announcement was made in a press release from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and Volleyball World. Mexico made beach volleyball history by becoming the first country to host the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, in Tlaxcala for the opening tournament of the Challenge Circuit and in Rosarito for the Elite competition. The last edition of the World Beach Volleyball Championships took place from 10 to 19 June 2022 in Rome.
