Marathon to be unveiled

The date is now known: the OCOG Paris 2024 will unveil the detailed route of the Olympic marathon on Wednesday 5 October. The announcement will not only concern the elite runners, but also the future participants in the mass event, as both races will follow the same route in the capital. Three days later, on Saturday 8 October, the OCOG will organise the first Paralympic Day on the Place de la Bastille in the heart of Paris. Inspired by the Olympic Day model, it will offer the general public an opportunity to discover the Paralympic disciplines and athletes until late in the evening. Another date on the Organising Committee’s calendar for the next two months is the highly anticipated presentation of the official mascot. It is scheduled for the week of 7 November.
