A great opportunity for Miramas. The Bouches-du-Rhône municipality, which is part of the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis, has signed a partnership agreement with the Kenyan Olympic Committee in preparation for the Paris 2024 Games. It provides that the Kenyan Olympic and Paralympic delegation, all disciplines included, will come to Miramas to prepare for the next Summer Games. Eliud Kipchoge and his partners will benefit from the Miramas Métropole Stadium (photo above), one of the largest indoor athletics stadiums in Europe. The agreement will be officially signed on Friday, February 3, during the Elite Meeting in Miramas. The town of 25,000 inhabitants, located about 40 kilometers northwest of Marseille, becomes the first city in the Bouches-du-Rhône region to formalize a partnership with a foreign Olympic delegation.
