Ivo Ferriani hands back his keys

The end for Ivo Ferriani (photo above). This weekend in Lausanne, the Italian executive will shed one of his many hats as he completes his term as President of SportAccord. The organization’s general meeting, to be held on Sunday November 12 at the Maison du sport international, will be marked by the election of a new executive committee, which will then designate from among its members a president to succeed Ivo Ferriani. SportAccord’s General Meeting will also be asked to approve the organization’s new Articles of Association. They provide for the inclusion on the Executive Committee of representatives of all the umbrella organizations of the international federations, namely ASOIF for summer Olympic sports (three representatives), AIOWF for winter Olympic sports (two), ARISF for sports recognized by the IOC (two), and finally AIMS for independent members not recognized by the IOC (one). The SportAccord General Meeting will be followed by the Forum of International Federations, to be held in Lausanne from November 13 to 15.
