With the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games less than three years away, the Italian sports movement is stepping up its fight against doping. The International Testing Agency (ITA) has announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian National Anti-Doping Organization (ONAD Italia). The aim of the agreement is to enable greater coordination of controls and the sharing of information. A strategic partnership that is all the more important, explains a press release, “as the ITA is to lead the anti-doping program for the forthcoming Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.” As part of the agreement, the ITA and ONAD Italia will pool their resources and information, for testing and investigations, particularly on Italian athletes. The ITA already has bilateral collaboration agreements with over 30 national and regional anti-doping organizations on all continents.
