India wants to vaccinate its athletes

One more. After Hungary, Serbia or Mexico, a new country is expressing its desire to give some form of priority to Olympic athletes in the process of vaccination against the coronavirus. Indian Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju, told national media that he had asked his health counterparts to put future Olympians in second place, after doctors and hospital staff. The first wave of vaccination launched in India, where the number of cases exceeds 11 million, concerns “COVID fighters“. “When it’s over, we’ll go into the second phase”, said Kiren Rijiju. “We will then focus on our athletes, to place them in the best possible conditions before the Tokyo Games“.
